Possible Correlation Found Between Standing and Lower Obesity Rates

obesity4In a new study done by the American Cancer Society, spending more time standing every day may help decrease obesity rates. Researchers tested over 7,000 patients, looking into correlations between standing time and the risk of obesity. It was found that men who stood for longer periods during the day were found to be “57% and 64% less likely to be obese.” The study suggests that sitting less and standing more may help lower the risk of obesity.
